A King Shall Rise

After a traumatic event from his youth left him scarred, Brody, a young man fresh into college, finds himself questioning what he believes in and what he stands for. Strange visions begin plaguing his sleep, and Brody wonders whether there aren’t greater things happening beyond his understanding.

A violent accident sends Brody to the Land of Dreams, where all dreams past, present, and future are protected from nightmares by a powerful ruler called the “Griffin King” —and Brody is next in line to rule, capable of transforming at will into the legendary griffin.

In the company of friendly Josiah and enigmatic Michael, Brody takes his throne, but he does not enjoy a peaceful reign for long. Disturbing reports tell of massing Rankers—nightmares given physical form—and the “Seven Deadly” in particular. These Rankers, each of which embodies one of the seven deadly sins, are the most powerful the land has ever seen, and Brody and his companions must race to defeat them before they conquer the dreamworld.

Along the way, Brody also intends to discover the Rankers’ ultimate plan, where their mysterious fortress is located, and, above all, what he stands for and what he is capable of.
